Go
for bonus corners. Play
the 10's, 9's, 8's, and 7's first which are found on
the edges of the board, or the face card axis found
in the middle of the board, in order to take advantage
of the Bonus corners. |
 |
| 2. |
Use
wild cards wisely. Do
not play the Wild Kings too soon. Play the Red
(or Black) King when your opponent has four chips in
a row to prevent them from getting a Quinto (unless
you can block your opponent with a card in your hand).
Play the Black King to secure a Quinto when your team
has four chips in a row and you do not have the fifth
card. |
 |
| 3. |
Be
aggressive. Play
offensively. Build several Quintos at one time
to make it more difficult for your opponent to block |
 |
| 4. |
Play
defensively. Block
your opponent whenever possible while building your
own Quintos. |
 |
| 5. |
Go
for points. Play
for the highest point value. Sacrifice smaller-point
Quintos in order to obtain larger-point Quintos.
Remember, a Quinto first formed on the Ace of Spades
is worth double points. |
 |
| 6. |
Find
Quick Quintos. While
opponents/teammates are pondering their move, use this
time to search for a Quick Quinto®.
Hold back certain cards that have the potential to be
used to form a Quick Quinto®. |
