Surprisingly, the object of Quinto® is not to obtain as many Quintos as possible.  Rather, the object is to be the first player or team to reach 500 points.  This means pursuing higher-value Quintos.

The object of the game is to score points by obtaining "Quintos," which are five of the same color chips aligned in a row, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.  Play stops when a combined total of three "Quintos" are obtained (called a "round").  At the end of each round, the points are tallied, the board is cleared, and the cards are reshuffled and redealt.  The first player or team to reach 500 points wins!
