| This
version of Quinto® is an adaptation
of the card game, "Crazy Eights," as follows: |
 |
| 1. |
The Dealer shuffles
the Quinto®cards and deals
seven cards, face down, to each player. He/she then
places the remaining cards face down in the draw pile
and places the top card, the "starter card,"
face up beside the draw pile. |
 |
| 2. |
The person to the
left of the Dealer begins by playing a card face up
that MATCHES the starter card either by suit or denomination
and placing his/her chip on the corresponding space
on the Quinto® board.
For instance, if the starter is 9 of hearts, the first
person must play a 9 OR any heart card. Moving clockwise,
each player plays a card that matches the suit or the
denomination of the last card played. |
 |
| 3. |
If a player has
neither the suit or number, he/she draws a card from
the draw pile and forfeits their turn. The player
may play the Black King only when it is time to play
that particular suit, i.e., spades or clubs. The
player may play the Red King at any time during the
player's turn. As in standard play, the round
consists of three Quintos. The first player or
team to reach 500 points wins! |
